Helga L. Leftwich

Helga is a partner and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She advises early-stage and established companies on corporate, securities and transactional matters over a broad range of industries, including the biotech, medical device, pharmaceutical, advanced materials, software and healthcare services industries.  Helga’s areas of specialization include corporate, venture capital and other equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, equity and executive compensation and securities law.  Over the course of her career, Helga has represented a range of clients in connection with their initial public offerings and has advised both public and private companies on a wide range of corporate and securities law matters.

After beginning her legal career with Kilpatrick Stockton LLP in Raleigh, N.C., Helga joined Hutchison when it was formed in 1996.
