June 17, 2015
Hutchison PLLC, one of the leading providers of strategic business counsel to the life science and technology communities, is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys, Brandon J. Huffman and Robb Giddings, to the team.
Brandon’s practice centers on intellectual property and internet matters, content clearance and general corporate representation. He joined the firm from a boutique media law firm where he focused on interactive and traditional media, internet, privacy and entertainment law.
Brandon earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Partner Justyn Kasierski notes, “Brandon’s journalism and legal backgrounds along with his passion for technology and new media make him a nice fit with our emerging growth clients. We’re delighted he chose to join the Hutchison team.”
Robb joins the firm from AbbVie Inc. where he was responsible for legal issues related to AbbVie’s clinical R&D programs, including programs for Viekira™ (AbbVie’s new blockbuster hepatitis-C drug) and Humira® (the number one selling drug in the world). He will work on transactional, regulatory and compliance matters.
Robb received his J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree in chemistry, with a focus in biochemistry, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
“The extensive in-house and outside counsel experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech industries that Robb brings are a tremendous addition to our firm and life sciences team,” said Dan O’Korn, partner in the life sciences practice. “He will certainly expand our practice areas and strengthen and grow our client relationships throughout the Southeast and beyond.”
