Robbie Hardy Is Back in the Triangle with xElle Ventures
Robbie Hardy is back in the Triangle and making as big a splash as ever! Robbie, who was CEO of CI Technologies, which she successfully sold to Seagate, is back in Chapel Hill now after sojourns to Hawaii and California. Robbie’s latest endeavor is xElle Ventures.
xElle Ventures was created by Robbie to change the fact that women-led businesses only receive 2.2% of the venture funding. xElle Ventures is an early stage angel investment network made up entirely of women. Its mission is to discover and fund North Carolina’s most promising women-led businesses. The fund is launching in August 2019 and will begin screening companies in September 2019. If that weren’t enough, Robbie has started Empowering Women Together which meets the third Wednesday of every month at the First Flight Venture Center in Durham from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Each gathering will have a panel of women with varying backgrounds.
