Sharklet Technologies Wins SEBIO Early-Stage Shootout

More than 400 people attended the 2008 Southeast Bio (SEBIO) Investor Forum, recently held in Palm Beach, Florida. Celebrating its Tenth Anniversary, the event has been referred to as the premier life sciences venture capital forum in the Southeast.

One portion of the event, the Early-Stage Shootout, gave companies the opportunity to present to the entire conference audience, including a panel of celebrity judges. Among the 4 companies selected to participate, Sharklet Technologies (Alachua, FL) was chosen as the winner of the Shootout. A Hutchison Law Group client, the company is a spin-out of the University of Florida and has engineered a new surface technology that controls the growth of dangerous microorganisms.
