Jon practices corporate and transactional law, focusing on providing comprehensive and practical advice to founders, early-stage companies, investors, and established companies across a range of industries. He advises clients throughout all phases of their businesses’ life cycles, including capital raises, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate governance matters. Jon also frequently serves as outside general counsel for early-stage startups, working closely with founders to anticipate needs, address challenges as companies scale, and identify strategic options to support long-term success. 

Prior to joining Hutchison, Jon practiced in the Denver office of Polsinelli PC, where he represented early-stage and established companies in a wide range of transactions, including early-stage financings and large-scale mergers and acquisitions. Best Lawyers recognized him as a “One to Watch” in both 2025 and 2026. 

Jon earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he also obtained a Certificate in Corporate and Commercial Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
