Hutchison PLLC Welcomes Attorneys Stephanie Fields and Christian Kerr
Hutchison PLLC, a boutique firm providing strategic legal and business advice to the venture capital, emerging company, and innovation ecosystem, is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie Fields and Christian Kerr to the team.
Fields has significant experience advising emerging technology companies in equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial contract matters. She also regularly represents venture capital and angel investors with their equity investments.
Prior to joining Hutchison, Fields was an associate at several leading technology law firms in the Research Triangle Park, and prior to law school was a paralegal with Hutchison. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she assisted in establishing UNC Law’s Startup Clinic.

Kerr joins Hutchison from Hogan Lovells’ Denver office, where he practiced for several years with a focus on intellectual property and technology transactions. He brings to Hutchison deep experience in advising clients through complex technology licenses and commercial arrangements.
Kerr received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law, and simultaneously earned a master’s degree in finance from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University with a double major in Religious Studies and Political Science.
