Josh practices corporate law, where he focuses on providing practical and actionable advice to entrepreneurs, startups, established companies and investors across a wide range of sectors, including SaaS, digital marketplaces, hemp, medical devices, gene therapy, biotechnology, and biopharmaceuticals. He has a wealth of experience in corporate, commercial, and transactional matters, including early- and late-stage equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, university spinouts, licensing, and corporate governance. Josh also frequently serves as the outside general counsel for early stage startups through all stages of their corporate life cycle, from pre-revenue through exit. Before joining Hutchison, Josh practiced in the Charlotte office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP where he represented a wide variety of regional and national companies in transactional, regulatory compliance and copyright and trademark matters.
